Apple Fritter Trail
The Apple Fritter Trail is a memorable experience on Männlichen, combining fascinating facts on fruit with a spectacular landscape. The educational trail from Holenstein to Brandegg leads through lush Alpine pastures, flower-filled meadows and fertile forests. You can test and improve your knowledge of fruit at six panels along the way. Did you know that in Switzerland, each person eats around 20 kilos of apples every year?
You're naturally always face to face with the imposing peaks of the Eiger, Schreckhorn and Wetterhorn on this scenic trail. The hike is crowned with a delicious finale at the Brandegg mountain restaurant, which serves some of the world's best apple fritters. What could be better than to rest your weary legs on the sunny terrace and give in to sweet temptation? The hike takes about 1.5 hours.
