From the village of Grindelwald or the Grindelwald Grund railway station, the hiking path first leads to Sand before climbing gently to Trychelegg (1048 m) and continuing through mountain forest past Nellenbalm to the glacier gorge. The Trycheleggschlucht is an accessible glacier gorge with glacier mills and waterfalls.
